SkyWorld gearing to launch up to RM2 billion worth of products
SkyWorld Development Group is gearing up to launch up to RM2 billion worth of products in strategic locations in Kuala Lumpur, says its chief executive officer Koong Wai Seng.
Koong said it is planning new launches in Bukit Jalil, Cheras, Taman Melawati and Setapak.
He said the company is optimistic about its plan given that it achieved record-breaking sales of over RM1 billion in its financial year just ended March 31, 2021, despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
SkyWorld said five key developments in Kuala Lumpur helped the company achieve better sales last year.
The five developments are SkyMeridien@Sentul East, The Valley Residences@SkySierra in Setiawangsa, SkyVogue Residences@Taman Desa, SkyAwani IV Residence in Setapak, and SkyAwani V Residence@Sentul.
Koong said the company will continuously strive to maintain its position, crafting ultimate sky-living experiences within sustainable environments.
He also said those interested to become part of the company's stylish and affluent sky-community can look at its current offerings such as the upcoming Phase 1 of SkySanctuary in Setapak dubbed EdgeWood Residences, Tower C of The Valley Residences in Setiawangsa, and SkyVogue @ Taman Desa.
SkyWorld deputy chief executive officer Lee Chee Seng said achieving the sales target of RM1 billion last year came as no surprise.
Lee said it recorded a spike in sales driven by Gen-Y home buyers who were increasingly receptive to buying homes online.
He said the company had viewed the pandemic as an opportunity to redefine customer experience and to build lasting customer relationships.
According to him, during the Covid-19 pandemic, SkyWorld boosted its digital presence and had invested heavily into its digital infrastructure.
The developer launched the country's first online unit selection platform dubbed 'Click-to-Own' when it unveiled SkyAwani 5 Residence, its fifth affordable development that resulted in a 95 per cent take-up on the first day of its launch.
"Our spirits have not faltered despite the ongoing pandemic. In fact, we are now more united than ever before and the team has proved resilient thus accomplished multiple breakthroughs," he said.
